Happy Women’s Month!!! Plus a couple new dates for The Village

Happy Women’s Month!!! Celebrating the ferocious joy of what it means to be female on this planet. What does femininity mean to you? It’s taking me a lifetime to fathom it for myself because of the very male culture I (we) inhabit. I think the uptick in testosterone our country (and planet) is experiencing right now is dismaying because it really throws us all out of balance. This includes EVERYONE, we’re all victims here!!!

I see the world through an eco-feminist lens. If eco-feminism believes in the connectedness and de-centralization of all things, the web of life in other words, then the Tower of Babel that we are currently living in can create a lot of feelings of unease for people who inhabit a space of relatedness. Competition, power narratives, and lies are part of life here, but when they become a way of life, it gives me pause–because it’s not sustainable, it’s out of balance.

The Village is my response to The Tower of Babel. It’s eco-feminism made visible. It’s a reminder that the power of joy and community is real on a personal level, and gives people the space to feel these things. I know it brings me a lot of joy! I am bringing my inside joy out in this piece and visiting with a lot of really interesting people. Please keep being your beautiful, shining unique selves. Your differentness makes the world complete.
