July and August were busy–The Village was at SPARK: on the Circle, Bloom Senior Living, and East 38th Street, Southport, Warren, and Central Libraries.
To wrap up the month, activities will be on:
- August 26 1:00-4:00pm at E. 38th Street Library
- August 29 3:30-5:30 pm at Southport Library
- August 31 11:00am-2:00pm SPARK: on the Circle
September through the end of the year are also full of activities
- September 2 and 23 1:00-4:00pm at E. 38th St. Library
- September 3, 10, and 24 10:00am-1:00pm SPARK: on the Circle PLUS a Birthday Party for The Village on the last day of SPARK–Sunday, September 28 11:00am-3:00pm
- September 5 and every Friday 3:30-5:30 pm at Southport Library
- September 8 10:30am-12:30pm at Warren Library
- Starting September 18 and every Thursday (except Thanksgiving and October 10) through the end of the year, 2:00-4:00pm Central Library
The Village is a Social Practice artwork dedicated to the women of Indianapolis who keep the arts alive in our community. The art is the interaction, the object is a souvenir. When complete, it will be displayed for a short time at Central Library and Tube Factory Artspace. Then, the individual panels will be auctioned .Proceeds go to Arts for Learning Indiana, Big Car Collaborative, and Ivy Tech Fall Creek Art Department.,
