The Village Activities are resuming! Here is the schedule for library activities:

Central Library directions	Thursday July 3, 10, and 17	2:00 pm-4:00 pm
East 38th Street Library directions	Tuesday July 8 and 15	1:00 pm-4:00 pm
Southport Library directions	Every Friday except 8/1 and 8/15	3:30-5:30 pm
Warren Library directions	First Monday of the month	11:00 am-1:00 pm

Once a week I will be hosting a PomPom Party. Stay tuned to my Instagram account at andknits for times and places!

Some words for people new to The Village

Like a lot of things worth doing, The Village is a communal effort. Special thanks to Cheryl and Patty for doing the latch hook outlines on the next two panels of the Village! Both sides of the artwork are important. I discovered latch hook is necessary not just for details too small for pompoms. It is also essential for the appearance of the design on the back.

A project of this size really needs to be done in parts. People who enjoy different processes should focus on the aspects they like. I really don’t like the latch hook process! I love design, making pompoms, and interacting with lots of different people. I also love knitting and will include knit flowers in the composition. I don’t like crochet, but have friends who do. They will crochet flowers.
