Some words for people new to The Village

Like a lot of things worth doing, The Village is a communal effort. Special thanks to Cheryl and Patty for doing the latch hook outlines on the next two panels of the Village! Both sides of the artwork are important. I discovered latch hook is necessary not just for details too small for pompoms. It is also essential for the appearance of the design on the back.
A project of this size really needs to be done in parts. People who enjoy different processes should focus on the aspects they like. I really don’t like the latch hook process! I love design, making pompoms, and interacting with lots of different people. I also love knitting and will include knit flowers in the composition. I don’t like crochet, but have friends who do. They will crochet flowers.
Please contact me at mjbayliss62@gmail.com if you and your community would like to:
- host a pompom party
- donate yarn
- volunteer at a library event and help attach pompoms
- crochet or knit flowers
- adopt a panel to latch hook–there are eight left to do!
