is Social Practice Art

BOO! takes place in various areas around Indianapolis–SPARK: on the Circle, Ivy Tech Art Department, Tube Factory Artspace, and Lockerbie Events in 2023. BOO! is for people who would like to learn more about knitting, graffiti, and coloring sheets, and how all those things are connected. A Social Practice piece grew out of B00! last year. It’s called The Village, and more info is available at the bottom of the page. Blog posts giving updates and images are in the menu.

Social Practice Art is in the interaction between people, what we create together is a souvenir.

Time to knit with Naptown Purls!

Naptown Purls is a coalition of artists dedicated to bringing knitting to the Art world. We create functional objects to wear, but we also create artwork with our beloved skills. On Tuesdays at 5;30 we meet semi-regularly in the Sky Gallery at Harrison Center. Feel free to contact me if you’re interested!

A train of thought…

an ever-changing carnival dedicated to street art, train graffiti, oddments, and wonders. If you would like to hop on the train, send me some images!!!

Winter turns to Spring

The Village

The Village started in 2024, when I was invited to create a Social Practice piece for Taylor Swift fans when she was here the first weekend in November. It has grown into a city-wide event, with Pompom Parties and latch hook events happening in libraries and College campuses across Indianapolis. When the 13 panels are finished they’ll be auctioned. Funds from the auction are for Big Car Collaborations, Ivy Tech Art Department Fall Creek, and Arts for Learning Indiana. Check out the Blog posts for updates and scheduling of The Village events!
